Book review #1- The Secret of Plants in the Environment

Hey, everyone!! Today, I’ll be doing something different. As you might have guessed from the title, I’m doing a book review! And, guess what? I was asked by the author’s side to review this book! I’m so excited!

The Secret of Plants in the Environment

by Dr. Rishikesh Upadhyay

My rating: 4.5/5

About the author:

Dr. RISHIKESH UPADHYAY, also known as R K UPADHYAY, formerly research fellow of Assam University, is currently an Assistant Professor of Plant Environmental Physiology and Biochemistry at Haflong Government College, affiliated with the same university. He is the author of numerous scientific articles and books in the fields of plant environmental physiology and environmental stressors response in plants. Dr. Upadhyay is a recipient of the UGC Research Fellowship award, Albert Nelson Lifetime Achievement award, Elsevier Science Reviewer Recognition award, etc. Much of his research work is confined to teaching and researching physio-biochemical and environmental stress responses in plants.

About the book:

Not mine
not mine

Dr Rishikesh Upadhyay’s ‘The Secret of Plants in the Environment’ addresses environmental concerns such as the different types of stress situations and plant adaptation to changing environments, including the positive and negative effects of stress on the growth of crops, the beginning stages of plant life cycles, and plant output. This book seeks to discuss the impact of environmental changes or stress on plant life, environmental stress physiology, and adaptation mechanisms. It highlights the impact of environmental stresses on plants and crops under changing environments and gives a comprehensive overview of how plants respond to such environments.

My Opinion:

In my opinion, this book is great for science lovers, plants lovers and who want to explore and study plants and the environment, young researchers and professionals. (And as I love science so much, I liked this book!)

Learning about plants and how they behave in different kinds of environment can be quite beneficial in the development of farming and agriculture. This book provides a lot of interesting information about plants which can be so useful and how different things are shown through illustrations makes reading it much more intriguing. Overall, this book is quite informative and I highly recommend you to read it if you are interested in learning more about Plants in the Environment.

Why so much hate?

We all our different, we all have different personalities, we all have different thoughts. There is so much diversity. Then why force someone to believe in what you believe in? Why to dislike a person because of how they walk, talk or look like? Why to blame a person for something they have never done? Why to consider someone who is innocent to be responsible for your loss? Why to judge a person? Why?

Why can’t we accept people for who they are or what they look like? Why can’t we let a person believe in what they believe (unless it is not wrong)? Why can’t we think and understand things before blaming people? Why to dislike a person so much that you think that they are responsible for a bad thing happening to you?

Everyday so many people have tears in their eyes because of a small mistake that spreads hate. I have also done this mistake once and I don’t want to do that again. I want you all to know about it so that nobody gets hurt because of you. Please spread kindness, love, happiness and not hate. Dislike the bad qualities of a person and help them get rid of them. Never ever dislike someone or something without knowing how good they are from inside.

You can spread happiness by showing some kindness or by sending someone a long message telling them how good they are or smiling and waving to a person whenever you see them. There is something like- you help someone and tell them to help three other people in return. And they will tell the people to help three more people and so on. Imagine how good it would be if we do this!

These small acts can make a huge difference in someone’s life! Maybe someone was having a bad day and you sent them a message about what they mean to you. Imagine how happy they would get! Just start being kind and trust me, you’ll see a great difference in the world.

Keep spreading kindness, love and happiness and…

Spreading positivity all around- Random acts of kindness
